Chad Wallace met fellow environmental activist Ruben Torres in 1996. In 2004, during which time Chad was teaching a science class Doulos Discovery School, Ruben and Chad worked together to develop an issue of academic learning, which ultimately laid the groundwork for the Reef Check Foundation International in the Republic Dominican. Under the direction of Reuben RCRD has become an integral support and defend the educational institution protecting reefs here, and continued partnering with Colorado and models Doulos Discovery School on an annual basis, as students of the school elementary and high for a week in Samana Beach studying reefs Fronton, their role and how to protect this sensitive and important natural resources. Colorado Designs is proud to participate in such a worthwhile initiative.
